A shattered glass panel and a cracked screen are two different pictures, and this one is the glass. Long radial fractures spreading from an impact point, with the light catching along the fracture lines , the way a phone looks after it lands face down on concrete.
What it simulates
Toughened glass failure: a central impact, fracture lines radiating outward, and smaller webbing between them. It is drawn as vector shapes over whatever colour the page is set to, so the effect sits on top of a dark field rather than replacing it.
How to run it
- Press Start fullscreen. The break fills the display.
- Set the device down and step away , the illusion only works from a normal viewing distance, not with your face at the panel.
- Press Esc or tap Exit to clear it.
Where it works
- A joke on your own phone or tablet, handed to someone who is expecting to see something else entirely.
- A placeholder image while explaining a repair, an insurance claim or a warranty process.
- A prop for video or photography where a broken device is needed and breaking one is not an option.
- A test of whether a case, a screen protector or a listing photo actually shows what it claims , a real crack and a drawn one look different at close range.
Keep it to devices you own. Making someone believe they have destroyed their own phone is a different experience from a joke, and it is not a good one. Stay nearby and end it quickly.
What it cannot do
Nothing here touches the display. There is no permanent overlay, no wallpaper change and no file written; it is a drawing in a browser tab, and it disappears the moment the tab closes.

Broken glass screen questions
Does this damage my screen?
No. It is an image in a browser. Your display is untouched and the effect ends when you close the tab.
Will it look real?
From a normal viewing distance, on a device that is not being touched, usually yes. Up close, or on a screen someone is actively using, the illusion breaks , real glass damage catches light differently as you tilt the device, and a drawn one does not.
What is the difference between this and the cracked screen page?
This one shows toughened glass shattering from an impact, with long radial fracture lines. Cracked Screen shows a finer, more web like set of cracks. They suit different devices and different stories.
